We have these speakers set up in the main part of our house so we can listen to music off of our computer which is in our office. We just plug in the USP transmitter and Windows automatically sends the music to those speakers, and just unplug it to stop and have sound come from our computer speakers again.

We have walls in between these areas (of course) and the sound quality is still flawless. I can move these speakers to my porch outside and still have great quality and awesome sound. I was hesitant at first but I feel these speakers are well worth the money and we are enjoying the heck out of them.

I can’t find a single fault with this system. In fact it exceeded all of my expectations by far.

1. Wireless capability is ROCK SOLID. No dropouts or interruption with my wireless modem and it connects within seconds to the speakers. No long waits or anything like that.
2. Sound quality! This system brings out exactly the way music was intended to sound, plus some. The bass is incredible and you cannot max it out without exploding your eardrums – it is THAT powerful. But it never overpowers the satellites even at high volumes, sounds clear and makes everything sound balanced and enjoyable all the time. You really FEEL the music as it plays. I just love the amount of volume I can get out of this system without any sacrifice to sound quality and it is by far the best way I’ve ever spent $200. 5 star product. Congrat’s Klipsch!

Sorry to be so Gushy…but I really LOVE these Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers. Having owned high-end speaker systems from Logitech, Labtech & Creative, I have always enjoyed good sound for games and music. As time has worn on, I began to play more music and fewer games on my PC. As a result I began looking for a quality 3-piece system to replace my 5-piece surround system.
I searched through all the companies I had purchased from before, when I stumbled across the Promedia 2.1′s… and let me just say….
WOW!
… These speakers are CLEARLY head and shoulders above all other 3-piece systems – in both power and sound quality.
You MUST hear them to appreciate the difference.

PROS:
- Amazing sound: clear highs, full mid-range and rich tight bass.
- Power that rivals many home systems (200w-total)- Satellites (35w ea) – Subwoofer (130W)
- Convenient headphone and auxiliary input jacks.
- Convenient and separate controls for volume and bass.
- Very attractive casing.
- Very easy setup
- THX certified (which means you will hear things you won’t hear on other speakers).

CONS:
* I cannot think of anything major, but a few drawbacks might be…
- Speaker system does not have a power switch on the satellite, it is located on the sub-woofer, which is not easy to get to (as it is typically tucked out of sight). However, the problem of shutdown is easily addressed with a power strip.
- [Costly,] compared to other systems (…though they are WELL worth the difference).
- Has horn tweeters, which are too “bright” for some folks… though I LOVE them.

Everything I play through these speakers sound great (DVD’s, MP3′s, Digital Camcorder movies, tape player etc.)I do not believe a better 3-piece system exists on the planet.
If you are a gamer or home theater enthusiast, I would encourage you to look at this systems “big brothers” (the 4.1 & 5.1 Promedia systems) as they are even more amazing (and pricier) for games and movies.

If you are in the market for a great speaker system I HIGHLY recommend Klipsch to you.

After reading the horror stories of DIN plugs and blown amps I was hesitant to order these. However, after hearing the tinny, hollow and lifeless sound (not to mention bass sloppier than Paris Hilton’s hooha) of the Logitech Z-2300s I knew these were my only option, and how glad I am that I made the choice to go with the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system.

Good experiment for those who prefer the z-2300s and have the option to listen to them and the Klipsch side by side: turn the sub all the way down and listen to just the satellites. It’s not even close; the Klipsch sats fill in so many holes left by the Logitechs that it’s scary anybody would prefer the Z-2300s.

These must be a new revised edition because the DIN plug is angled, lays flat against the sub and feels really sturdy and solid. I don’t see how this could break unless something hit it pretty hard from the side, but then that would be difficult since it doesn’t stick out much at all.

So far in my listening experience these are the best speakers I have ever owned. I will never claim to be an audiophile or expert on what constitutes good sound, but I know what I like and when I hear things that I didn’t even hear in my $3500 car system (fidelity system, not bass) and Onkyo home theater, I know these must be doing something right.

Now for some downsides to the Klipsch Promedia 2.1. The sub and volume knobs on the satellite feel quite delicate. They stick out two inches and feel like they could snap off at any moment. There’s also the oft-mentioned problem of the power button being on the sub. That combined with the fact that there is no delay on the amp and the speakers pop quite loud when turned on, I’ll just leave them on all the time.
